Surf Sport
Members can compete either as individuals or in team events in an array of disciplines from beach sprints, swimming, board and surf ski events through to the larger craft of surf boats, canoes and Inflatable Rescue Boats (IRB).
Districts provide a Surf Sport competition programme, generally beginning early in the season and the types of events cover all disciplines. Regional events are coordinated across several Districts to create very successful competitions.
Surf Life Saving New Zealand runs a number of national events each season beginning with the New Zealand Swim Championships and the final event, the New Zealand BP Surf Rescue Championships.
